Hasan Imam was born and raised in a vibrant metropolis filled with modern concrete structures, medieval wooden architectures and rusty walls of the distant past. For most of us, we become so familiar with our surroundings that we hardly even notice them anymore. But for Hasan Imam, every building and its walls tell a unique story with each changing season. The walls of the room he lives, for example, which rose up to hold the roof above his head provide him with a sense of the season, telling a tale of changes between summer, monsoon, autumn and the winter. He masterfully reasons, while most stay the same, an awful lot of things change. In his canvas, he paints those stories.
